Toilets: what's actually wrong when it won't behave
A toilet problem is rarely just the toilet. Leaky pipes behind or beneath the fixture, clogs that keep coming back, or a toilet that won't flush properly, or runs continually, are usually a sign the internal parts or the connection to the drain line need attention rather than a quick fix at the tank. A sewage smell that lingers after flushing is worth calling about specifically, since it can point to a line break or a drainage issue further down the system.
Overflows, floor dampness around the base, or signs of a septic tank leak all point to the same underlying question, is the toilet itself the problem, or is it the line behind it. We check both before we touch anything, so a repair actually fixes what's wrong instead of covering it up for a few weeks.

Faucets: the drip that's a washer, and the drip that isn't
Loose handles, a faucet that's gotten noisy, or limited water flow and low pressure are usually the first signs something inside has worn out. An old or visibly damaged faucet, water leaking from somewhere other than the spout, or a faucet that sprays instead of running clean, or won't fully shut off, all point past a simple washer replacement and toward the valve or cartridge itself.
We repair and install outside faucets, kitchen faucets, bathroom faucets, and bar and sink faucets, and a dripping faucet in any one of those spots gets the same attention a full replacement would. Sometimes the fix really is the washer. We check before we quote either way.

That matters more on a faucet than most people expect, since a cartridge or valve that's slightly off spec is exactly what turns a five minute repair into a return visit.
Garbage disposals come up in the same visits often enough that we handle those too, repair and installation both. If a fixture problem in your kitchen or bathroom involves anything with moving parts under the sink, it's worth one call instead of three.
